Urban Heat Island Effect | Artist website: www.v3comusic.com

Best known for his work with punk band BLXPLTN (Pronounced: Blacksploitation), Jonathan Horstmann began releasing dreamy synth-pop as V3CO (pronounced Veeco) in 2019. His band Urban Heat Island Effect expands on V3CO’s love of analog synthesizers by adding live guitars and percussion, creating a sound that is at once visionary and reminiscent of classic synth-based bands.

You might have heard him playing one or more of these instruments on recordings or performances with groups including White Denim, Okkervil River, The Polyphonic Spree, Erika Wennerstrom, The Octopus Project or Ian Moore, to name a few. Though in high demand as a sideman, it wasn’t until 2017 with the formation of Pocket Sounds that his most impressive talents were illuminated.

Kathryn Legendre | Artist Website: www.kathrynlegendremusic.com

Kathryn Legendre drives around Austin, with a GOD BLESS MERLE HAGGARD sticker on the bumper. You know, kind of like the "God Bless Johnny Cash" stickers, but her own take on it – custom. Her folks will tell you she's always gone against the mainstream. That encompasses Legendre's whole outlook on songwriting and, well, life.  Legendre thrives when she feels there's something missing. As a result, she’s built a catalog consisting of her 2013 debut album Old Soul, Summer 2014 single, "Have You Forgotten Me?," and 2016 EP Don't Give A Damn. Her latest effort takes form in the EP Making It Up (released May 17, 2019).
